Recently, the motorcycle parts industry has been accelerating the upgrade of production line automation. The YSA dual-servo power head adopts dual-servo electronic gear synchronization control, with spindle rotation and feed motion linked in real time, achieving stable rigid tapping. Both through holes and blind holes can ensure regular thread profiles, with stable go/no-go gauge pass rates. The feed axis uses full closed-loop control with high repeat positioning accuracy and controllable hole depth, preventing tapping from hitting the bottom. The system monitors cutting torque in real time; once the load exceeds the limit, it automatically stops feeding and reverses to retract the tool, significantly reducing the probability of tap breakage and lowering tool consumable costs.
In terms of production line adaptability, speed, feed, stroke, and pitch are all digitally set via parameters. When switching between different motorcycle parts models, only the program needs to be recalled, with no need to replace mechanical gear components, greatly shortening changeover time. The power head supports horizontal and vertical mounting methods and can be directly mounted on rotary table special machines and multi-station automated equipment. Equipped with a multi-spindle head, it can complete multi-hole simultaneous machining in one pass, suitable for batch machining of multi-hole parts such as engine housings, shock absorber end caps, and wheel hub connectors. At the same time, it produces no hydraulic oil contamination, making aluminum chip cleanup convenient and meeting the cleanliness requirements for motorcycle parts machining.
Currently, the YSA dual-servo power head has been put into use at multiple motorcycle parts processing factories, for drilling, countersinking and chamfering, and rigid tapping processes on aluminum alloy parts such as engine cylinder heads, shock-absorbing aluminum tubes, brake caliper housings, frame connectors, and instrument housings. Compared with the original pneumatic drilling and tapping units, the workpiece defect rate and tap wear rate have dropped significantly, and production line flexibility has improved.
