High-speed motor problem 2-whether the rated 400HZ high-speed motor can be used for 50HZ

2021-2-9

High Speed Motor Question 2 - Can a rated 400HZ high speed motor be used for 50HZ use?

This problem is relatively common. When customers use Germany, they often choose a spindle product with a rated speed of 400HZ. When cutting, they find that such a high speed is not needed. When some products are working, too high speed may not have good results, such as high-speed cutting will cause blackening and heat.

So, can the spindle cutting and slotting motor rated at 400HZ run at 50HZ for a long time?

Generally speaking, most YSA high-speed motors or high-speed spindles, most of the heat dissipation structure adopts a coaxial cooling fan, and the output torque is a constant torque output type. So if the temperature problem is not considered, in theory, the heat generated by the high-speed cutting motor is basically the same within the range of 0-rated frequency. As long as it is within the allowable speed range, the heat generated by the cutting motor does not change. However, if the structure of the coaxial heat dissipation fan is used, it is necessary to consider whether there is a reduction in the ventilation volume under the condition of low motor speed, resulting in insufficient heat dissipation of the motor and excessive temperature of the motor! If the temperature is too high, it is not suitable for working at too low speed. If the high-speed motor or cutting spindle is an independent power fan structure, this situation does not exist, and the speed of the motor does not matter!
